Nobody has been able to post image deposit pictures on craigslist today. What happens is we get a message that it’s been blocked, and the reason is because of the word “img”. This is the message from craigslist:
This posting is being blocked:
The following term(s) cannot be used: “img ”
Many other possible reasons for blocking are listed in the Conduct section of our Terms of Use

PLEASE CONTACT CRAIGSLIST AND GET THIS WORKED OUT WITH THEM. I HAVE CHECKED MULTIPLE CATEGORIES AND MULTIPLE CITIES AND THERE HAVE BEEN NO POSTINGS WITH IMAGE DEPOSIT PICTURES TODAY.

I HAVE TRIED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH CRAIGSLIST, WHICH IS NOT AN EASY PROPOSITION. IF YOU HAVE A CONTACT EMAIL OR PHONE CONTACT FOR THEM, PLEASE POST IT. I JUST CHECKED AND STILL THERE ARE NO POSTINGS WITH IMAGE DEPOSIT PICTURES. SINCE THIS IS A BIG CHUNK OF YOUR BUSINESS, I THINK IT’S IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO CONTACT THEM YOURSELF. IF NOBODY IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO POST IMAGE DEPOSIT PICTURES ON CRAIGSLIST, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM.
I GUARANTEE THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAS TRIED TO CONTACT THEM. BUT THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS AND WE BOTH KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE USE IMAGE DEPOSIT PICTURES IN THEIR ADS, SO YOU NEED TO WORK DILIGENTLY TO GET THIS DONE.
AS OF THIS MORNING, THERE STILL ARE NO POSTINGS WITH IMAGE DEPOSIT PICTURES. THERE HAVEN’T BEEN ANY SINCE THE 27TH.

SO OBVIOUSLY THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. IT BEHOOVES YOU TO DEAL WITH THIS- IF NOBODY CAN USE YOUR SERVICE ON CRAIGSLIST, THIS IS GOING TO BE A FATAL PROBLEM. I HAVE FILED TWO REPORTS AND I’M SURE MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE, TOO. YOU REALLY NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS NOW. PLEASE HELP!!!

I JUST FILED ANOTHER BLOCK ERROR REPORT- THE THIRD TIME I HAVE DONE SO. WE REALLY NEED YOU TO STEP IN AND DEAL WITH THIS- THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING. I’M SURE THEY ARE INUNDATED WITH BLOCK ERROR REPORTS. THERE IS NOTHING IN SYSTEM STATUS ON CRAIGSLIST ABOUT THIS. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM THAT YOU MUST DEAL WITH.

After spending some time on CL Help discussion board it is VERY clear that CL has *deliberately* blocked all external image links in the ERS area. This is true for ALL image hosting services… this is not a fault of Wayne or ImageDeposit.
The general opinion is that CL is “cracking down” on the ERS area in reaction to the the news named “CL Killer”. CL implemented the phone verification system, and the subsiquent $5.00 charge for posting in ERS under earlier pressure from conservatives and a wave of states DA offices working in tandem. CL also filed lawsuits on a group of businesses who sold posting services designed to defeat the new rules (TOU).
I doubt that any “fix” is forthcoming. So, while it’s pay to post, you only get to upload one small image to the CL ERS area.
I warn everyone who posts on ERS to read and memorize the CL Terms of Use. Otherwise your posts can (and will) be ghosted and your account blocked. Also posting using several accounts will result in those accounts being blocked. Thing is, I don’t see any TOU mention of linking to external images….

Still Waiting for problem with CL to be fixed!! This is So Stupid… Some PHOTO BUCKET will go in on a rare occasion!!! WHEN are you planning on fixing this problem…??? I have used your site for ever and would love to continue to use it???? Tried getting somewhere with CL and they don’t give a crap????? Do YOu???
